The president in this book and the presidency is based on Trump and the Trump administration. The author is showing what can happen with the Trump administration on the track that is on. The president in real life is trying to silence LGBTQIA+ rights, and in the book, the president silenced those rights and sent the LGBTQIA+ people away. The current president doesn´t think women rights are human rights, and in this book, the president silences the woman treats them like subpar human beings. Also, the president's campaign motto in real life was ¨Make America Great Again," and in the book, the president's motto is ¨Make American Moral Again,". I think that this author did a really well job incorporating this message in the book and I think that it was a really cool message for a book. Also, the parallel in the book between Trump and the president in the book is uncanny and I think that we could be heading in the direction of this book and that is VERY scary.
