What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

This is a picture book about building forts published in the late 80s or early 90s. The illustrayions look like those by Allison Lester but when I searched her published work online I can’t find it. I remember one particular illustration of children building a fort made of sofa cushions and a tent made of bed sheets.

Thanks for the suggestion! The storyline seems very similar but it’s not the one. It was an older book with bright illustrations that were more cartoonish.

How would you describe the illustrations - e.g., cute, colorful, simple line drawings?

Is this a non-fiction book that describes how kids can build play forts - during summer and winter? Does it include real forts built by adults?
