I was wondering what other groups everyone is in. I have recently quit a few groups, mostly because there was no action in them anymore.

I am a mod in Gotta Have Romance with a Kick but I mostly help out with challenges.

I am also in:
For Love of a Book
WACKY READING CHALLENGES
Crazy Challenge Connection
Romance Readers Reading Challenges
Tall, Dark & Deadly
Wanderlust Challenges
Precinct 81
All Challenges All The Time
The Challenge Factory

I really don't do much in these groups anymore
A Million More Pages
Stress Free Reading Challenges
Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy

I'm also in Whacky Reading Challenges, Wanderlust Challenges and Crazy Challenge Collection

Barb | 1868 comments I quit a few groups awhile back, but I think it's time to think about leaving some of these too. My current list:

Crazy Challenge Connection
Wacky Reading Challenges
Stress Free Reading Challenges
The Lost Challenges
Second Chance Challenges
Wanderlust Challenges
2-3-4 Challenge
All Challenges All The Time
2018 Reading Challenge
Just For Fun! - I have an active challenge in this group that I need to finish

NetGalley Readers
Cozy Mysteries
Cozy Mystery Corner

Goodreads Librarians Group - so I can report problems with book pages, etc.
Moderator Support Group

And a couple of private groups as well :)

message 7: by Shanna (new)

Shanna | 510 comments Well... I just found two more challenge groups to join, so ~thanks~ ;-)

I'm already in 2018 Reading Challenge, but I don't do much there so I may leave it after I finish my challenge.

I'm also in a couple of sci-fi groups.

You can be in the Goodreads Reading Challenge. It keeps track of your books read. It's great because if you need to go back and check books, it's WAY easier than looking through MY BOOKS.

I can look back at all of my books read each year since 2013, I think.

message 9: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) I'm in Stress Free Reading Challenges but at this point it's only because i host a couple of challenges there -- I think once they both go a year without any new participants I may ditch that group.

I'm in Life of a Book addict, The Lost Challenges, Nothing but Reading Challenges, Crazy Challenge Connection, Cozy mystery, Cozy Mystery Corner, The Challenge Factory, Wacky Reading Challenges and Book Nook Cafe.

I dropped out of Second Chance Challenges although I'm still finishing the Ben & Jerry's challenge on my own. I used to be in a brit lit reading group, a european royalty reading group, and a fashion reading group but all of them became dormant so I dropped them. I still have a spread sheet with about 200 books from those and other groups I've joined and dropped with books I wanted to read for those groups on it, and I can't seem to make myself delete it so apparently I still intend to read them!

Joann This one and Crazy Challenge Connection,

message 11: by ElleEm (last edited Nov 10, 2018 07:36AM) (new)

ElleEm Let's see...
The Lost Challenges and
Wacky Reading Challenges

...those are my two challenge groups, that's all I can keep up with although a genre group I'm in has some challenges but are easier to keep up with because you just have to create a shelf and track books by adding it to the shelf.

The more genre specific groups are:
Horror Aficionados
Stephen King Fans
Books Stephen King Recommends

I also join the Reading Challenge every year as well. I agree with JoAnne that using it is easier to keep track of your books.

I join the annual GR Reading Challenge every year too, but in the past couple of years, I also create a shelf for books I've read each year. While I'm on the My Books page, I can tell at a glance how many books I've read so far in 2018. I wish I'd started the dedicated shelf years ago!

I'm hanging in at Stress Free because JennyR is eventually going to do an Alice In Wonderland challenge like the Wizard of Oz challenge.

message 14: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1868 comments I'm working my way through SFRC's Disney challenge. I joined late, so I'm probably way behind everyone else, but it's been fun so far :)

message 15: by Kat (last edited Nov 11, 2018 08:08PM) (new)

Kat I have recently quit several as well.

I'm still in The Challenge Factory, 2018 Reading Challenge and Around the World in 80 Books.

Going into 2019, I'm going to quit all but The Lost Challenges and Around the World in 80 Books (though I mostly keep ATW for the Resource Lists). I also have my own private group for tracking my books read and planned.

I really like For Love of a Book. But their challenges are the kind where they only give you one task at a time.

I like their BOTM choices too, although it seems that there is not a lot of participation.

message 17: by Kat (last edited Dec 12, 2018 01:25PM) (new)

Kat I always get too excited going into the new year.

Two new challenges I'm going to do next year are Reading Women and Book Riot's Read Harder.

I'm also going to focus on reading books from/set in other countries, especially by women. I read a ton of books set in England last year. I really want to branch out.

Reading Women
Read Harder

Sam | 401 comments I think most of my groups have already been mentioned but here they are anyway:

Nothing But Reading Challenges (NBRC)- I LOVE their Choose Your Own Adventure Spell Outs- those will keep me going for a long, long time. They also do a lot of very big team challenges, but I avoid those.

Crazy Challenge Connection (CCC)- good mix of challenges, but I'm a moderator there so I might be biased

For Love of a Book (FLB)- sometimes they have really fun challenges, including team challenges. I am hooked on the Scooby Doo challenge. They dole out tasks one at a time.

Game Night (GN)- this is my group for team challenges. They like to do clue and other board game based challenges.

Badass Reading Challenges (BARC)- this is a great group if you like hard challenges. And I do mean hard challenges. I am greatly enjoying the Return to Hogwarts and the Warehouse 13 challenges.

Wanderlust Challenges (WC)- I only do spell outs and bingo here. Jan created the individual bingo game that I most enjoy so I followed her to this group to get my fix.

Wacky Reading Challenges (WRC)- I like to do the spell outs from this group. I'm still working on some that I signed up for a couple of years ago :)

The Challenge Factory (TCF)- they have a couple of challenges that I really like (Scale That TBR Mountain is my favorite), plus I am trying to finish up some long spell outs. They also have a series team game (Super Series) that I enjoy that they play about twice a year.

Stress Free Reading Challenges (SFRC)- I enjoy these challenges (though most give you one task at a time). I like the no deadline aspect but it does tend to make me push these challenges to the back burner. They haven't come out with many new ones recently but I am greatly enjoying the Explore Disney challenge and the Wizard of Oz challenge.

Second Chance Challenges (SCC)- I joined this one for the monster Ben and Jerry's spell out challenge and have also signed up for a few other challenges.

Serious Overload of Series (SOS)- I love the team bingo game that they play a few times a year. They are more urban fantasy/paranormal romance based.

Cozy Mystery Bingo Challenges (CMBC)- They have a bingo game similar to SOS' but cozy mystery based. I just recently signed up and haven't yet gotten to play in a bingo game but I want to try it out.

Most of these groups are for only 1 or 2 types of challenges. As you can probably tell, I'm addicted to spell outs and that's what pulled me in to most of these groups. Now I am trying to catch up on the spell outs. If I ever get caught up, I might try and condense some of these groups because I am in way too many challenges (240 before signing up for any January challenges).
