Eric Mesa (djotaku) | 672 comments Overall, Wendig seems to me to have done a good job with an ensemble cast - I said as much in my review. But I was curious what the rest of you thought? Particularly how well did he do writing all the different types of characters.

Did he do a good job writing female characters?

Both older and younger characters?

People from different parts of the US?

And of different ages?

Dara (cmdrdara) | 2702 comments I think he did a great job and I’m glad he made a group of very different personalities. They were all distinct and had their own perspectives on their situation. They all handled it different and reacted different.

Kai Charles(Fiction State Of Mind) (fictionstateofmind) I found chucks narrative concepts about human behavior very spot on and relatable but as far as individual characters it’s hard for me to judge his job because I think he has an intimacy with these characters that I never was able to achieve because their are so many of them!

Ruth | 1778 comments I loved the characters, but then I’m always an absolute sucker for a ragtag band of misfits.

In terms of the type of hackers I thought he did a great job. The personalities seemed to fit their styles very well too. So I think he did a good job with it.
