My two main characters use a sword and a battleaxe but I'm at a loss as to what weapons to put in the hands of their allies and enemies.
Some things I've read or watched... a bat, knife, pipe, or tools like a hammer and screwdriver. :-)
Standard claw hammer for bashing would be great. You should check out the "Zombie Survival Guide" It has some pretty in depth sessions on weaponry.
Swords and axes would get stuck in bone and take a minute for you to pull out of the Zombie. In that minute you'd get overwhelmed by the Zombies buddies and eaten alive. From a melee perspective you're probably better off with blunt weapons.
Good advice thanks I'll use more blunt weapons.
