Hey Hey! You know what time it is. So let's get started.

1. What did you think of the main character, Serafina?

2. Did you like or dislike the author's writing style?

3. What did you think of the plot of the story?

4. What did you think of the book overall?

5. Did you like the story as it is with mermaids, or do you feel it should be in a different setting?

6. Would you recommend this book to your friends?

Discuss away! Enjoy!

Sara | 19 comments I found Serafina a bit annoying but again I think this book is aimed at a middle grades audience.
I did not care for her writing style I found it a little stilted in places and the story dragged a bit in places
I found the plot a bit predictable in places and it could have used a bit more editing
Overall, it was not for me I had did not care for the slang terms used and it felt a bit like the little mermaid only more modern
It might have done better set elsewhere and I might have liked it better if Neil Gaiman had written it and it would have been truly scary.
Not some much maybe to a middle grades student who likes this type of book though.
