August 2014 Read-A-Thon
I will join although I should be revising that weekend!
I'll join, but I can't promise loads of pages as I have to work over the weekend to make up for how behind I am after my vacation. Ugh.
Hello I'm new to the group and will be joining in.

Finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society: 216 pages
The Man from Beijing: 60 pages
The Cuckoo's Calling: 33 pages
Finished Rules of Murder: 86 pages
A Quest For More: Living For Something Bigger than You: 12 pages
The Phantom Tollbooth: 9 pages
Total: 416 pages

30 pages of The Birth of Shylock and the Death of Zero Mostel (now on page 96 )
And
40 pages of Come on Shore and We Will Kill and Eat You All: A New
Zealand Story( now on page 126)
Couldn't sleep last night so got a head start on this readathon, I will post my results on Monday like I always do. Good luck everyone!

This is my book for the weekend (if I'm lucky I'll read two!). Have a bit of time before work so I just started it. Currently on page 10.

And I hope to finish it quickly and start a second one before the weekend is over, also.

Bittersweet
Missing Microbes: How the Overuse of Antibiotics Is Fueling Our Modern Plagues
Murdering My Youth: a memoir
Delancey: A Man, a Woman, a Restaurant, a Marriage

The Girl with a Clock for a Heart
Easy for me this month: only one book at a time!
Finished the missing 129 pages of Shades of Grey and read the first 145 of The Golem and the Jinni. I hope to finish it all before sunday night, we'll see.
Up to now then 274 pages

@Laura Very clever of you to start The Golem and the Jinni; combining a read-along with a read-a-thon:)

170 pages in total.... Just finished it. Great read also counted it for my around the world challenge....
Tents and Tent Stability: A Month-Long Camping Adventure In Germany - In a Rather Dodgy Tent!
16 pages. Bogged down in Hamburg at the moment in the rain. Sounds rather boring ...in fact Chris Lown seems to be contemplating giving up his mission (to camp in every German state ) but as there are rather a lot of pages still to go I'm guessing he's about to change his mind.
@Sandy, I like the look of Gender Failure. Let me know how you like it when you're done - maybe I'll read that one.

Total 104 pages

This is a relaxed read-a-thon; it doesn't matter if you read 20 pages or 100, it also doesn't matter if we reach our goal, it's just having fun doing what you would normally be doing anyway:)
