I can't tell you how delighted I am to find this group - I didn't think there was anyone else out there like me! :-) I kept thinking I must be a terrible prude because I found all the graphic detail in the sex scenes of a lot of more "modern" romances a bit too much for my tastes - but also find the lack of detail in Georgette Heyer-type books a bit frustrating... the combo described in the group here is PERFECT! :-)
And also, as an author of a romantic suspense series with "mild" sex scenes (whereas most modern RS seems to have steamy), I've been struggling with the different definitions of "clean" and "sweet" and how to label my books... I didn't realise that "sweet" means holding hands and nothing beyond a kiss. What happens if your characters do a little bit more than kiss (like caressing) but you don't mention "tongue" or "nipples" or any details like that?? It's not "sweet" anymore but it isn't enough for those who want "steamy" or "spicy" either - and calling it "mild" just sounds so boring! ;-)
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know others in the group. Oh, and I've actually got a cover vote going on at the moment for Book 2 in my series - asking readers which is their preferred cover design - I'd love to have some of your opinions! :-) Should I post that in the Author Promos sub-forum?
