Finished: (view spoiler)[ Yea I am so irritated at Amelia... did she really think she was going to waltz right in the castle and just make demands... after her family has spent their whole lives protecting her from this evil woman and after seeing Elias' memory. Up to 7% -(view spoiler)[ Well, I have so many questions and while I know they will be answered, I don't like the world building has basically not happened at all yet. While the main character may not know what an Elder is, the reader should know a little more about this world. And she goes off about an betrothal and it's basically thrust at the reader, with no explanation or hint of. Thank goodness for the prologue or we would have no idea someone was hunting her and "why". (hide spoiler)]

Tiera, I'm only at 7 percent and feel so lost, so for 25% to still feel like that, yikes! Not a good sign.

Up to 21%, I really hope I can continue this book and it doesn't become a dnf.

Up to 43%. One of the worst main characters I've ever read. Well, maybe not the worst, but it's pretty not great...

Up to 48%. (view spoiler)[ She's so terrible with her magic yet she could instantly know how to shut the door on their magical telepathic connection? ..... (hide spoiler)]

Up to 63%. It has gotten a TINY smidge better, but there is still so much wrong with this book. The main character is way overpowered, regardless of her status and she has no "true" flaws. What I mean is, the author has her not know her magic well and that's her flaw. That's not good enough, in my mind. Because suddenly she is adept at certain things that she wasn't before, far too quickly. It's a little lazy and gives her no true characteristics.

Another thing. She is always yelling at everyone!!! She has two emotions and regardless of things being out of control and such, it isn't fun to read her constantly screaming and yelling and full of fury towards people, all the time.

Up to 89%. Amelia is truly annoying and every little thing she does urks my nerves. (view spoiler)[Instantly shutting the connection off on Micah after he is trying to warn her about his mother and her ways is immature. (hide spoiler)]

Finished. The only reason I will continue this series is because I don't like letting series books drop.
