I abandoned it about halfway through, but I'd like to re-start it this month and hopefully finish it.

As for ACOTAR, how about we start it on Sunday the 6th? I have a couple of ARCs I need to read, and my 40th birthday is on Saturday, I know I won't be able to do much reading on that day!

What happened to Feyre's family? How did they lose their fortune? What did her father do for work?

In chapter 4 you will find out about the wolf ;). Her father was a wealthy merchant but invested all their money on three ships filled with spices sailing to another country. The ships sank and when they had no money left to pay the debtors they came looking for her father.

Ah, ok, so I would have figured it out after today's reading, LOL! Good to have the clarification about her father though, I wondered why everyone save Feyre seemed to be mostly useless!

Oh, me too! Such a conniving, grasping woman! Only after her own comforts, and even Elain too, to a degree, even with her simple nature.

I've finished Chapter 4. The wolf was a friend? It didn't make much sense to me, unless it was a kind of familiar, or hunting companion maybe? I really had to wrench myself away from the story, I wanted to learn more! Especially with Feyre leaving and not telling her father of the promise!

If you want to do more than 2 chapters we absolutely can!!

What was Tamlin's reason for sparing Feyre? Is what she's been told true, or is his magic protecting her? What is the plague upon the Fae? Why would Tamlin think Feyre is worth saving when she killed his friend?

I am currently on 14. I was cleaning last night and started my reading around 10pm and fell asleep reading while trying to catch up.

I had a couple of ARCs come due for review, so I'm still at the beginning of Chapter 15. I had a hearing test scheduled for today that had to be rescheduled due to ear wax that I have impacted against my ear drum, and I have to lie in bed for a half an hour nightly with my head tilted so that my right ear is able to drain downwards, so I'm forced to read nightly! I should get caught up soon!

I got caught up and then some last night, Kelby! I'm at the beginning of Chapter 42, can't put it down, fell asleep with my Kindle on my face last night, and utterly loving it all! I can see why you gave it 5 stars!

If you think this one is good just WAIT until the next 2!!! If I could have given them 10 stars I would have!!!

I thought it was interesting! I thought he had an ulterior motive for doing so, and I could sense some underlying admiration and curiosity about her, especially after learning some of her prowess as a huntress. The tattoo was an interesting tidbit, and while I read the sneak peek at the end of this book for book 2, I have to wonder why he'd concern himself with her illiteracy. Is it because he feels a kinship to her, that they're more kindred that they both realize? It's a very intriguing concept, especially in light of her love for Tamlin! I keep thinking Menagé or love triangle for future books, though I am seriously leaning the way of a menagé between the three of them!

So there are 82 chapters in this next one. We have 28 days in Feb so what do you think about 3 chapters a day since some of them are a bit long and I have a couple ARC's I need to get to this month also. Thoughts?

Sounds fine to me! I have 4 ARCs scheduled myself, with the possibility of at least 2 more, and one is due by the 1st with another due on the 5th!

Still want to start it on Friday, or get a jump start now?

I am hoping to finish up Ruin & Rising in the next couple of days so that I can start fresh in Feb so if we can hold off until Friday that would be great...lol

Haven't had a chance to read it yet...my life kinda imploded last Friday and I'm playing mop up ever since. I'm hoping to get caught up on it by the end of this week.
