I wasn't going to do the ABC Challenge in 2019 but I changed my mind. And my new variation(ish) is that I'm going to use mostly NetGalley ARCs that will also count towards my Read Your Shelves Challenge. I'm so behind on NetGalley ARCs, my percentage is 16%. Eep.

I am (sadly) a total overachiever with NetGalley and want to basically be as close to 90% as possible and certainly not below 80%.

Well then! lol. I've just said yes to far too many books in the beginning when I was a new member and it was so shiny and new. Then I quickly got overwhelmed. lol

I can totally empathize. I did the same thing. Now I try to be very contientious about the release date of books. I try to only have one or two per month.

Yeah, I'm trying to catch up so I'm not requesting anything and peppering in older ones with ARCs due soon and then really concentrate on my backlog.

Well, I'm abandoning my idea of only using NG books. Because I'm still behind on them and I've read over 80 books so far this year and I could be flying high on my ABC challenges instead of hamstringing myself for no reason. lol!

Now I just need 6 and 6. lol. Much better.

I'm the same way and they sometimes I realize...girlll it does not have to be this hard!! You made up the rule and you can change the rule. Like the one time I said I was going to go to the gym for 30 days straight and got an injury on day 10 and then refused to change the rule for another 10 days.

I read a couple of books by Xinran (for the ABC Challenge...) and was surprised how much I enjoyed them.

For Q, how about Dog on It (A Chet and Bernie Mystery, #1) by Spencer Quinn? Very funny, talking dog, mystery series.

Yes, I definitely be reading The Good Women of China: Hidden Voices for my X author next year!

Thanks for the Q suggestion! I've already got an overdue ARC of The Dream Protocol by Adara Quick lined up but I will keep that book in mind for next year!
