SIA Showcase for Readers and Writers discussion

I hold a B.Ed., M.A., and Ph.D. and have taught for years as a professor. I was the technical editor of an internationally-renowned academic journal for over a decade.
I learned as the mother of four teenagers that college admissions essays are excruciatingly painful. Much to my dismay, I discovered that my must-have-slept-through-all-their-English-classes children and their slacker friends were in desperate need of some hacks to nail their college entrance essays. Young people are loving this book (I used a bunch of the aforementioned slacker friends as reader guinea pigs) as something they can actually use while composing and editing their essays. Even students who are not yet ready to apply to college have found this guide entertaining but a ton of assistance for their classes.
