Hmmm, well the top of my "must reads" list of books would have to include:

In the Afterlight (The Darkest Minds, #3) by Alexandra Bracken Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas Rebel (Reboot, #2) by Amy Tintera Beginnings Obsidian & Onyx (Lux, #1-2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1) by Michelle Hodkin The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor Storm (Elemental, #1) by Brigid Kemmerer Tiger's Dream (The Tiger Saga, #5) by Colleen Houck

I just got Lux too (: I'm waiting until the boxed set of The Smoke & Bone's trilogy is released too. I loved the first 4 books in the Tiger Saga, but.. The 4th book had a solid ending so I'm not sure how Tiger's Dream is going to be or what it's going to contain.

I loved the Tiger Saga, definitely a series I'd recommend :D But yeah, everyone's talking about the Lux series! I need to read it and know what all the hype is about.

It's going to be part of my Fall Challenge as well, have to read it during a Read-A-Long during September anyways.

I think the only books that I've read that I consider I must read is the Harry Potter series. I have read some other really amazing books, but none of them I think EVERYONE must read, it depends on your taste. But Harry Potter, SO a must read! :)

Irene (raenne) Hmm, question: Do you think a book that you didn't like - maybe even hated - can be considered a mustread?

For instance, I gave The Great Gatsby 3 stars. I still consider it a must read. (I know it's not on my list, but I can't remember everything lol).

message 21: by Eve (new)

Eve (arweneve) What are the Lux series about?

message 22: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Aguilera | 25 comments The Lux series is by Jennifer Armentrout. It's a YA sci-fi with aliens, love, adventure, and of course Daemon ( the heartthrob). You should definitely check it out, even if sci-fi isn't usually your thing.

message 23: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout I haven't read it and don't recall what it's about, but here's a link so you can read the synopsis.

I heard they are an alien rip off of Twilight, and from what I've seen about it, it seems pretty true.

message 25: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Aguilera | 25 comments I like both series's, twilight and the Lux and I never thought it was an alien rip off. Now that I think on it further I don't think there is many similarities between the two actually

message 26: by Eve (new)

I feel like a terrible person because everyone seems to have read the Harry Potter books but me. I mean, I love the Harry Potter world because I grew up watching the movies as they came out.

message 37: by Eve (new)

Eve (arweneve) You MUST READ THEM!!!!
My whole being revolves around them.

You shouldn't feel bad. I saw 5 of the movies before reading a single book. It's hard, for me at least, to read something after seeing the movie, but in this case it is so, so worth it.

message 39: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments Angie wrote: "I agree with Tommy. I've read the first three books. I would watch the movie then read the book. It seemed to make the book go faster that way....at least for me it did."

Also, you know how you watch a movie after reading the book and you're bothered by how much is left out? To me reading a book after seeing the movie has the opposite effect. It makes me happy about how much more is there haha.

I'm adding a new one to my list. I should have added it months ago, but I forget that we had this discussion board. Oops.

message 44: by Neal (new)

Neal Thakkar (nnt15) | 1 comments I got a hold of the galley of this book and it was the best thriller I have read in years. There is an amazing secret world for the black market for organs that I knew nothing about and the protagonist in this novel explains it all, while racing around the globe trying to prevent a murder and trying to make up for his own sins. Incredible book. Mark it "to read" right now. The Organ Broker

message 45: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (HannahJoLynn) | 8 comments There is a series that I love that not many people have read. It is tiger's Curse, by Colleen Houck. It's young adult fantasy, and, personally, it is one of my favorites. Definately a must read!
