Hi Tracy, good luck with your challenge :)
I look the look of these, might steal some... have you read Val McDermid's other takes on Jane Austen, did she do one on Pride and Prejudice? I haven't read any, bit unsure whether to try them?

I enjoyed Val McDermid's Northanger Abbey. Twice. Loved that she moved it to Scotland! It was far better than...
Alexander McCall Smith's Emma was disappointing. Most Jane Austen fan fiction fans felt the same. And while parts of the ending were quite inventive, one scene between two very important characters in the ending is among the worst I've ever read!!!
Joanna Trollope said some nasty things about American Janeites, so my review is tainted. She basically took zero chances. If Austen wrote fast carriage, Trollope inserted a fast car brand name. ZZZZZ
The P&P one was written by Curtis Sittenfeld. She took the most chances..ie moved the story to America etc. It certainly wasn't dull.
The overall project is called the Modern Austen Project. There has been no word on MP or Persuasion.

Great!!! I hope you enjoy that experience. That seems like a great plan. I love love love Felicity Jones as Catherine in NA 2007.

Ooh, I always forget about Van McDermid’s Northanger Abbey! Soay looks to be an amazing island - I love Soay sheep, would love a couple one day, they are very wild and woolly! (Random sheep comment, I know!)
