The Monster Study pales into insignificance next to the horror stories that have come out of Nazi Germany – such as the Lebensborn Program, which we touched on briefly in Chapter 2 of The Orphan Conspiracies: 29 Conspiracy Theories from The Orphan Trilogy and in the "mind control" section of this group.

To recap, Lebensborn was just one of many Nazi programs incorporating mind control techniques and was a pet project of Heinrich Himmler. The aim of the SS-backed program was to increase the Aryan population and it involved kidnapping thousands of very young children – including orphans – who were deemed to be ‘racially pure’. They were interned in camps where they were subjected to mind control tactics and brainwashed to think like Nazis.

In the respected German news site, Spiegel Online International, columnist David Crossland reported (in November 2006) that after decades of hushed shame, the children of the Lebensborn program to create a blond, blue-eyed master race have started to speak out.

“Topic number one is the painful search for their true parents,” said Crossland. “And then that nagging question: Was my father a war criminal?”

Crossland observed that the children of the Nazis’ Lebensborn (‘Spring of Life’) program to create an Aryan master race were starting to go public with their plight and were renewing efforts to find out who their true parents were.

Reports from a variety of sources reveal the Nazis kidnapped children from Russia, the Ukraine and throughout Europe. Poland and Yugoslavia figure prominently with estimates of the number of Polish children kidnapped ranging from 20,000 to 200,000.

By all accountsthe children were tested then placed in one of three groups, including one for those not wanted. The unfortunate members of that group were killed or dispatched to concentration camps.

Unfortunately, such horrors didn’t end with Nazi Germany...

The "Lebensborn" Program (1935 - 1945)

“Lebensborn” translates to “wellspring of life” or “fountain or life.” The Lebensborn project was one of most secret and terrifying Nazi projects. Heinrich Himmler founded the Lebensborn project on December 12, 1935, the same year the Nuremberg Laws outlawed intermarriage with Jews and others who were deemed inferior. For decades, Germany’s birthrate was decreasing. Himmler’s goal was to reverse the decline and increase the Germanic/Nordic population of Germany to 120 million. Himmler encouraged SS and Wermacht officers to have children with Aryan women. He believed Lebensborn children would grow up to lead a Nazi-Aryan nation.

The purpose of this society (Registered Society Lebensborn - Lebensborn Eingetragener Verein) was to offer to young girls who were deemed “racially pure” the possibility to give birth to a child in secret. The child was then given to the SS organization which took charge in the child’s education and adoption. Both mother and father needed to pass a “racial purity” test. Blond hair and blue eyes were preferred, and family lineage had to be traced back at least three generations. Of all the women who applied, only 40 percent passed the racial purity test and were granted admission to the Lebensborn program. The majority of mothers were unmarried, 57.6 percent until 1939, and about 70 percent by 1940.

In the beginning, the Lebensborn were taken to SS nurseries. But in order to create a “super-race,” the SS transformed these nurseries into “meeting places” for “racially pure” German women who wanted to meet and have children with SS officers. The children born in the Lebensborn nurseries were then taken by the SS. Lebensborn provided support for expectant mothers, we or unwed, by providing a home and the means to have their children in safety and comfort.

I wonder if anything like Lebensborn goes on today in secret? Whether it's experiments on orphans or other children. But orphans would seem to be the biggest targets given they have no adults to protect them...

Possibly. That would be so cruel though, and was so cruel then too. I can see the want for orphans though because no one would miss them per say. They wouldn't have frantic parents looking for them, they'd just be forgotten which is sad. I'd think it would be hard to hide tons of children though...

Hopefully you're right Fay, although the numbers of those who exist in slavery (whether adults or kids) has never been higher than in this era I heard. Human trafficking is a massive industry.

Of Pure Blood by Marc Hillel is meant to be a great read about Lebensborn:

The never before told story behind Hitler's secret program to breed "The Master Race." Most of the chosen men were members of the SS; and both men and women were chosen on the basis of their shape, form and coloring. Blond and blue-eyed, the men tall, the women wide-hipped for childbearing, there were to create children "of pure blood." The children born were graded; the most desirable were adopted and the others sterilized or eliminated. Documented for the first time is the wholesale kidnapping of hundreds of thousands of "desirable" non-German children from other countries for the purpose of adding to Germany's breeding stock; and never saw their families again - those that didn't pass genetic inspection were "disposed of." It has now been proven that many of these "Maternity Homes" were simply whorehouses for the Gestapo.

It is basically a funny book dealing with "Lebensborn."
