This can be a book you thought looked beautiful or appealing in some way and you assume (or just hope) that the story is just as lovely.

Some books with gorgous (or really fun) covers:

The Dollmaker of Krakow - R. M. Romero (middle grade)
Maud - Melanie J. Fishbane (teen/adult)
The Fair Fight - Anna Freeman (adult)
My Best Friend's Exorcism - Grady Hendrix (adult)

Brittany (brittburkard) | 66 comments I had had this book in my cart for ages because the artwork caught my eye. I was intending to purchase for the kiddos but honestly it is an absolutely stunning book for all ages, full of beautiful art and all kinds of amazing ways we are connected to our planet and universe. This was absolutely a win when it comes to judging a book on its cover!

I did the same exact thing with that book about two years ago. It's gorgeous! Makes for some great copywork as well. ;)

Laura | 18 comments Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. The cover is this red/orange with data markings and it’s just so cool looking. It hurt me to donate it after I read it.

sara (sarasara) | 33 comments I read The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. The story is as beautiful and interesting as the cover!
