Fantasy Book Club Series discussion

This prequel novella introduces the reader to a younger Zedd at a time when the barriers are raised between D’Hara and the Midlands and between the Midlands and Westland. I thought it was well-paced. Obviously, in a short story or novella, one does not get much sense of the characters. It certainly is not necessary to the rest of the Sword of Truth series, but provides a interesting bit of backstory.
