It would be great to have you join us, Kerstin. I've been chomping at the bit to get into this since I first read a review about it. Silence speaks to me, as it were. I usually don't start BOTMs until the 1st of the month in which we read them, but I don't know that I will be able to wait on this one.

True, eight people voted for "Toward the Gleam":
Steven, Bice, Fonch, Lisa, Madeleine, Amparo, Maria and Walter.

Bother. I missed one. Also, people changed their votes (which I wasn't expecting) and one voter deleted their votes (though that didn't have an impact on the outcome). I should have taken the time last night to double-check all the ballots.
I will revise the initial post after I get back from the randomizer.

This is a good new. Thank you. I'm a new member of this group and I'm learing to speak English.

My apologies all. It has been pointed out to me, and I have confirmed, that we actually have a tie this month. Our winners are The Power of Silence: Against the Dictatorship of Noise, by Robert Sarah and Toward the Gleam, by T.M. Doran, which were tied with 8 votes each. My thanks to Mariangel and Manuel for pointing out my error.
As is our practice, that means we will read both books and the order is determined by the randomizer. So our February 2019 BOTM will be Toward the Gleam and our March 2019 BOTM will be The Power of Silence: Against the Dictatorship of Noise.
The next two were:
Story of a Soul: The Autobiography of St. Therese of Lisieux and He Leadeth Me with 5 votes each, though not the same votes previously counted. If you are going to change your vote, please draw it to your moderators' and everyone else's attention. To be clear, that had nothing to do with the error in the top results - I simply missed a vote - but I at least would appreciate the head's up.
All of the remaining books had between 1 and 3 votes, with a single exception. The Satin Slipper received no votes and is not protected, so it will be dropped from the voting list.
The three books to be added to the list for our next vote (in March) are Georgios, by A.K. Frailey, The Divine Milieu, by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and Knowledge and Christian Belief, by Alvin Plantinga.
