What are you guys currently reading? And what genre's are you really into right now? I am currently almost done with The Maze Runner and I am loving it! I'm also reading Jane Eyre and To Kill a Mockingbird...
I'm really into Futuristic Sci-fi at the moment.

I'd love to hear what you're enjoying!

Cintia (ladycintia) I'm reading Sarah J. Maas' Empire of Storms

I really want to read that series! Have you liked it so far?

message 4: by Cintia (new)

Cintia (ladycintia) Yes, but if you expect it to be clean, you are going to find not so pleasant surprise. There's a lot of blood. And this currently book I'm reading contains a very graphic sex scene. Other than that it's a pretty amazing series

Oh boy... thanks for the warning! I'm ok with blood but sex stuff is a no-no.

Cintia (ladycintia) Yeah, well, when you read that it is coming you can just skip it, there's nothing there that is essential to the plot. Honestly, I say no to that too, because it doesn't add up to the story

Ok thanks, I think I might try that series some time.

Cintia (ladycintia) You know, I'm Christian myself, and I don't approve sex scenes in books either. But the series has SO MUCH MORE. The characters are so deep, layered, and well written... It's absolutely amazing. You just skip that, and you'll have a pretty great fantasy series!!

Awesome! I've really been looking for some new series so I will absolutely look into that one!

I just finished Belle: A Retelling of Beauty and the Beast by Cameron Dokey.
I really enjoy Cameron Dokey's retelling's and totally recommend them to people who like fairy tales! I just started her other book Sunlight and Shadow: A Retelling of The Magic Flute.

Cintia (ladycintia) I have most of those to read, I've only read Winter's Child by Cameron Dokey, and a couple of retellings by the other authors

I'm going to read Winter's Child soon, did you like it? and I really recommend reading some more of Cameron Dokey's books there really good...

Cintia (ladycintia) Yeah, I liked it, but not so much, there were many things that left me with questions. However, the writing is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful I've ever read. It flows perfectly

I totally agree! her writing is beautiful...

Cintia (ladycintia) I need to keep reading those retellings. But once I'm done with Throne of Glass I'm gonna take a break from fantasy

Yeah, it starts to get boring if you keep reading the same genre... I'm going to try to find some new genre's this year, ones that I haven't really read before.

message 18: by Cintia (new)

Cintia (ladycintia) Me too!

I finishedSunlight and Shadow: A Retelling of The Magic Flute and currently reading Winter's Child: A Retelling of The Snow Queen both by Cameron Dokey...
Anxiously waiting for The Scorch Trials to come from the library...

C.F.E. Black (author_cfeblack) | 4 comments I'm reading House of Salt and Sorrows (it's clean so far, for the most part--it was part of a book box I received). I recently read The Story Peddler, which is AWESOME and squeaky clean! I'm listening to Unblemished by Sara Ella. It's clean, too!

Aubrey | 1 comments Hi, just so you know, I am currently reading the lunar chronicles, but I finished the hunger games before. I LOVE the hunger games!!! Definitely recommend it to readers who like suspense and adventures. That's all for now.

Dannis Cole (danniscole) | 7 comments I just finished Binti Binti by Nnedi Okorafor. It's a novella that is compelling, not a single bad word, no sex, and only one violent scene that's not graphic though there is blood. I gave it 5 stars because it's extremely well-written. Want to read more of this author!

Dannis Cole (danniscole) | 7 comments If any of you are on Wattpad, I'm starting a book club to ferret out clean reads there. I use the same username there. It's disappointing to me that Goodreads ignores webnovels, because I do a lot of my reading there. It's called Squeaky Clean Book Club.
I'm new to this group, so if this post is not appropriate, please tell me.
Happy reading, y'all!
