What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I have a memory of the following scene from a historical romance that I believe is either a Highlander or Medieval era romance:

The heroine is out riding and is shot by an arrow which pins her thigh to her horse (perhaps it was to the saddle because I don't recall the horse being in pain.) When she returns "home" (castle?), the laird, who I believe is her husband, is angry because she was not supposed to be out and about when she was shot. When he realizes she has an arrow sticking into her leg, he goes Alpha on everyone. He cuts off the top and pulls her from the arrow.

I hope this is enough detail. I would love to reread this book. Thanks!

I think she was riding with several other female friends or relatives when the attack occurred.
