Paracord, the wonder material for human survival, made possible by the makers of nylon! You know it! You love it! What do you use it for? I prefer 800 lb test strength myself, 800 or above.

Pro tip: replace your shoelaces with paracord!

Never 'eard of it? Never 'eard of it? Aufff!

Paracord should be in everyone's daily carry. Use it to rescue trapped mountaineers or submerged snorkelers. Restrain police suspects. Trap small game animals. Tie boats securely to a dock. Rig a wilderness shelter. In a pinch, you can even use it to saw through wood, plastic, or metal.

Survival-minded gals can get them woven into attractive bracelets or anklets. Ladies, keep some paracord in your purse, your glove compartment, your office drawer. Use it to tie back a ponytail. It comes in multiple colors to complement any ensemble!

Men! You can replace your pants belt with paracord. Or, your watchband. Never lose your pants again!

Stacey B | 117 comments Believe it or not, I own a neon orange parachute.
Im afraid to fly, though I do it under duress. Husband bought it for me as a quasi -gag gift.
Im a skeptic, so I took it to be checked out, just in case. :)
Never used it, but saw the cords are Paracord.
Name was on the emergency cord.
