Dumplin'
question
Do you think that Rosie did the right thing by disqualifying Willowdean from the pageant?

I think Willowdean deserved to win because she worked kind of hard on it, and even though she didn't sing, she still performed some magic.

I think this is a tough question—Willowdean did break the rules, and she obviously knew that she was. Even though it was tough to see the character disqualified, I think it was also nice to see that Will didn’t need a pageant to feel comfortable or beautiful in her body, or to enjoy her night. I also live that Millie was runner up. 😁
I agree, as much as it was sad to see Willowdean get disqualified she did break the rules and she knew it would happen. Still, I think it helps her grow.
if she did not disqualify her than the whole town would have seen it as a favoritism and may have taken away her leading role in the following years.
