message 1: by colleen the convivial curmudgeon, Not a book hipster! (new)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments I went to update the reading thread and realized it wasn't February anymore...

Finished Wildeeps and didn't really like it.

Recently finished Elven Star - book 2 in the Death Gate cycle, which I was also kinda meh about. I remember liking the series, but the reread isn't going great so far.

Also finished Jinx's Magic, which was ok, but I was surprised when it literally just ends almost mid-sentence. I had thought it was a duology, for some reason, and not a trilogy... so now I've gotten the (I hope) last book, and will read that at some point.

And, lastly, started Brown Girl in the Ring this morning. Only 27 pages in, but it's only a 250 page book, so I don't think it'll take too long to get through.

Hoping to start Not Your Sidekick around Monday.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments I have a copy of Not Your Sidekick, Ill start soonish.

I supposed to be reading a host of things...but in reality I'm reading some Reverse Harems and a few old re-reads. I don't know if I can make it through a month without at least one re-read.

Nyssa | 2023 comments I am hoping to finish The Power and start Not Your Sidekick this weekend.

I'm also hoping to get back to the Sookie Stackhouse series with All Together Dead.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I'm almost finished with Chernobyl: The History of a Nuclear Catastrophe which is utterly fascinating and really well researched.

Also close to finishing Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, likely tomorrow. Had a long drive today so Chernobyl audio took precedence.

Will be starting another audiobook tomorrow for the return drive. Not sure which one yet.

THEN I'll be starting The Day of the Triffids for my BR with Doodle.

And then all of the other books ever. :P

It's not my first ever 5-star rating.

Just the first in, like... 3 years?

Beth (rosewoodpip) I'm part of the "rare 5s" club, too. Maybe a half-dozen total.

My current read is Valor's Choice which is a fun mil-SF space opera thing.
