Short Story Connect discussion

This game seems to be in every group, so I hesitated to add it here. Then I thought, why not? It's a good way to get to know your fellow group members. Or some of their likes/dislikes/quirks at least. ^_-

How to play:
Ask a question about the person below you. The next person answers your question, then asks one of their own.

Example of play:

Person 1: The person below me likes dragons?

Person 2: Yes! Love them!

Person 3: Eh... It's not a favorite.

Haven't really read too many to be honest! Do enjoy horror movies though... (some of them).

TPBM has done some traveling?

Yes, I've been to Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, and various road trips in the western US.

TPBM hates phones.

Nope. I like phones. Smartphones, not so much.

TPBM likes dogs?

Love dogs! Had a golden retriever when I was younger.

TPBM speaks another language?

Does pig Latin count? I know a little Spanish, but not much.

TPBM has more books than bookshelves?

Truth, but that was an easy bet in a group like this one.

TPBM likes puzzles.

Depends how many pieces there are ;)

TPBM likes ice cream?

Vanilla in fact :)

TPBM likes hammocks.

Loves them! Especially when placed somewhere scenic.

TPBM rides horses?

Not anymore. :(

TPBM likes to go to the movies?

Loves* to go to the movies! Would like to go to a movie solo.

TPBM is double-jointed?

I can get my leg behind my head, and when I shoot a bow I get giant bruises around the insides of my elbows because they hyperextend... Does that count?

TPBM likes to go cliff diving...

That counts!

Never gone cliff diving...not in any way other than a cottage rope swing.

Sing in the shower :)

Yes but poorly...

Yes, an adorable dog named Artemis (featured in my avatar).

Nope. Too scared of heights for that.

Nope - Toronto, Canada!

Nope.

YES!!

TPBM likes cookies?

Eh. They're alright. I prefer cookie dough.

They're cute :)

Yes! Hot apple cider

TPBM has a European background?

If you go back a few generations, yes. My ancestors have been in "The New World" for more than a century. ^_-

TPBM likes to play chess?

Not so much. I don't have the patience for it :)

TPBM reads only one book at a time?

Yes, but lately I've been reading three or four. (Haven't finished them yet thou)

TPBM likes to go running in the morning?

Walking not running ;)

TPBM sings in the shower?

Yes, when I'm in the house by myself thou:)

TPBM has a cell phone only?

True! Land lines seem like an unnecessary expense these days.

TPBM enjoys playing in the snow?

I'm from Canada so absolutely!

TPBM is a morning person?

Yes, and when I don't feel like being one my two dogs are very willing to convince me that the morning is the best part of the day.

TPBM play any musical instrument?

Not well. I used to play guitar, but I'm very out of practice.


TPBM can't wait for spring?

Yes, winter can be harsh.

TPBM can play the piano?

Not unless you count heart and soul. But I do play bass!

TPBM can climb a mountain?

Truth. The last big one I climbed was Fuji-san. Which reminds me, I should really add a few big peaks to my list of things to do this summer.

No, only stick figures :/

used to play football and cricket but now in my dotage only Darts!

TPBM has a stamp collection?

Nope. Tried stamp collecting once. I think my collecting lasted all of a month...

I can't say I like it because I have never watched it.

Yep. All of the ones currently out.

TPBM has been to Africa?

Nope. Never been outside North America.

TPBM plays an MMORPG?

No, not so far at least.

TPBM likes rainy days?

Love them, so long as I don't need to go anywhere.

TPBM listens to NPR?

Not sure if it's an age thing (I'm getting quite old), or because I'm in the UK, but I have no idea what NPR is. Guess my answer has to be no.

TPBM read The Picture of Dorian Gray?

((NPR stands for National Public Radio. Similar to BBC Radio in that it's not a commercial station. There's only the one NPR to BBC Radio's 7 [if I'm remembering correctly] stations.))
