Year-long NaNo discussion

Honestly... this folder is far overdue. I've set this series aside time and time again, but now Time of Trepidation is finally my main project. So this is where I will keep track of the rest of the books in this series.

3/15/19- 1,584 words rewritten in A Time of Trepidation.

3/19/18- I made it to chapter nine!

3/29/19- I'm to chapter ten now. That's technically not halfway done, but then I'm not sure because a lot of things change from the original version at this point.

3/31/19- So... I have long since given up trying to do this in an at all conventional manner. Major rewrites going one here and I'm basically just writing chunks from the middle of the book even though I haven't gotten there yet. Oops.

Here's a snippet...

Easton looks like he wants to argue, Clint looks like he wants to punch something, but I’m ready to do both if it comes to it.

Awesome, action. I'm all for it . . . ;P

Nicki, just keep up the hard work. Your book will come together in the end!! :)

So... I haven't gotten as much written as I would have liked in this story lately. I've gone back to rewrite the beginning chapters trying to fix up some flaws that SOMEONE pointed out.

Unfortunately those chapters are the real swamp of Dexton and I am pretty much just slogging through.

I'm sure it will be nice when I finally finished it but I'm about to toss this whole story into the Bextian Sea.

Yes. *sniffs* It is your fault that I am rewriting my least favorite parts of this book trying to make it so that they have less action/peril.

Oh you can still read it. You'll just have to put on scuba gear in order to do so XD

Definitely don't like fish. Nor fishing. Nor Oceans. I like water, however, I don't plan on swimming to the bottom of that monster infested sea to read about the sea. :P

5/29/19- 1,029 words written.

From this point on I'm pretty much rewriting everything from scratch, with the exception to a few scenes. Everything else goes. Let's see if I can get this done more quickly now XD

I tend to stick to something called BICHOK (buns in chair hands on keyboard- I didn't come up with that name someone else did XD). If I wrote when I felt motivated I'd write maybe a hundred words a week. It's about getting the words in even when you don't feel like doing it. It's about BICHOK

I find that having a Pinterest mood board for the book and music playing that makes me think of that book also helps a lot with staying in the mood and world of the story and not getting distracted :D

So I know I haven't updated this in a little while, but I have been working on it! I've just finished chapter thirteen, and now I'm officially halfway through. Here's hoping that I'll speed through this last half. I'm going to try to speed write it and get it done by the end of June. *crosses fingers*

I stiffen as I feel chills course their way across my arms. Of course someone shows up in the deserted tunnel just as we are trying to use it. If I have any luck at all, it’s bad luck.

So I didn't end up finishing Time of Trepidation in June, but I realize that was a stretch of expectations XD

I am now only ten chapters away from finishing it, though.

In other news, I am going to be starting A Season of Subterfuge, Courtiers, and War Councils and working on that as my Camp NaNo project in July.

I guess we shall see how it works out with me working on two books in the same series at once XD

But at least this thread is going to get a lot more action ;P

I just read the first book (it was amazing) and now I can't wait for the next ones XD

Also, here is the working blurb for SoS. It's not really too spoilery but it does give away from things from book 2, like that my characters survive XD XD so I'll put it in a tag anyway

Chelsea and her friends journey across Amar to find a ruler who will call a War Council for them so that they can make their case.
