Did you ever have any suspicions about Everett Prescott?

Melissa (melissasd) | 194 comments I did. For a while a was thinking he was murderer trying to get Holly to trust him.

I thought the same thing, too, but quickly moved away from him. Probably when Holly woke up alive😏

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments No. This actually had more to do with Holly's perceptions of him than anything he did. As a sociopath, she would recognize someone similar to herself and she only saw the sweetness and caring in him (something she could manipulate to her own benefit).

I was really hoping Holly would leave him alone but alas, she dragged the poor sod into it and almost got him killed.

Lol! I was hoping HE would have some positive influence on HER. That was me being desperate to not believe the worst in her. I had to let it go but I was pretty late in doing that.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Lol! Nothing can be done to influence a true sociopath like Holly. They only see others as a means to an end. For instance, Holly kept going on about how useful a rich boyfriend would be. She didn't actually see him as a person.

So true. And Everett was a good guy. He’s representative of the type people like Holly look for because he wanted to see the best in her. Holly was counting on that. She didn’t want to have anything to do with Billy because she recognized herself in him.

Ugh.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Exactly!
