David Hadley Jessica saw the puddle as she flew towards it, knowing she would land in it. She spread herself as she landed with a squelch in the heavy mud, filthy water splashing up all around her.

She Flew

It's become a habit, just sitting down first thing every morning and making myself write a set amount of words (400 at the moment - moving to 500 soon) each day.

What makes it interesting for me, is that I never know what it is going to be about each morning. It can be anything from Shakespeare advertising Cornish Pasties in his plays, to a man meeting the ghost of his wife, to the great penguin conspiracy to... well, who knows?

I don't have any idea what it will be until it is written. Often, not even then.

Thanks.

Most days I wonder if today will be the day I run out of things to write.

Of course not.

Although, being so keen to deny it, would make some suspicious.

Jim | 21809 comments I loved the phrase "Most of the existing terrorist organisations faded away during the early 21st century as terrorism became too much like the kind of ordinary job radicals thought themselves too good for."

Also posting it on the day Baroness Jenkins got into trouble over porridge......

message 41: by David (new)

David Hadley Well, I suppose imagining yourself as some kind of Robin Hood 'for the people' is a bit more exciting than imaging yourself working at a checkout or whatever, but in the end it is - like all jobs - going to be a bit dull at times.

I know how she feels I have porridge most mornings and I'm usually in trouble by then.
