I've revamped the checklist I put together to help you catalog your NYRB Classics.

Here is the link to the Google Doc

This document up to date as of May 1, 2019.

I will continue to update the checklist, and you should be able to access the updated document through the same link above whenever you wish.

This document is fairly basic. The first and main page lists NYRB Classics published, organized by author's last name. There are two columns of checklist boxes: 1) you check off the books you've read; 2) you check off the books you own. At the bottom are cells that tabulate how many you've read/you own and the percentage, just for fun.

-The second page of the spreadsheet lists the forthcoming titles and their slated publication dates (which change often).
-The third is a list of books they published in the old format that went out of print and are not available in the current NYRB Classics format) or books have been replaced by a new edition.
-The fourth is a list of books that are called "NYRB Classics" but that do not follow the standard cover format.

While I will edit this as frequently as I can, because you are not authorized to edit this document it may be more beneficial to you to copy the document to your own Google drive so you can keep track of your list over time. If you do not do this, any changes you make will not be saved. If you make your own copy, you can edit and save it, but this also means you'll have to update your own list on your own. Hopefully that won't be too difficult.

Though I hope it isn't the case and have tried to be thorough and careful, there are likely errors in this document (misspellings, missing books, etc). Please let me know below if you find any so I can fix them.

You bet! I hope folks have fun with it!

Louise | 491 comments I am not very technologically savvy but if I copy it, I should be able to add a column correct? I need two columns for "own", one for prints and one for ebooks :-)

Yes, you should be able to do anything you like with it, including adding a column. Good luck!

Sarah | 38 comments This is fabulous! I had my books on my NYRB shelf in alphabetical order for the most part so it was real easy to catalogue. Thanks so much Trevor. And I have the same number of books you do (mildly freaky). It seems like the holes in my collection correspond to the books I had read before I started collecting them. I guess that makes sense.

Liz M | 22 comments Thank you for the list! Checking against my records, I even found a few books I had forgotten to tag as nyrb. I also found a few typos:

The Life of Lazarillo de Tormes is by "anonymous" not Tormes
A High Wind in Jamaica is by Richard Hughes, not R. Holmes
Summer Will Show (not "Summer will Share")

Thanks you! I will get those fixed today! For those of you who have already downloaded the document, I will put here any changes I make so you can make the same edits. For now, it will just be these three.

Louise | 491 comments Trevor, while you are at it, it's Lesley Blanch, not Branch.
