The Invisible Man
question
Books you always thought you had read

Have you ever thought you had read a book only to find you had not. I have always been convinced that I had read "The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells, until I decided to reread it. Only to find I had no memory of it and my memory was taken from the 60's TV programme.
Have you got a similar experience?

I had other way around as I start reading some Sydney Sheldon novel (I am not sure if it she or he even) about three female doctors. It seemed very familiar, and I have found it in my paper list of read books. Nothing after reading it - no emotions, I can‚t understand how he/she, Nora Roberts and similar are so popular?
Heart Of Darkness. I was positive, certain -- I mean totally convinced I'd read it.
However, it popped up for free on Amazon Prime, so I thought I'd give it another go... only to discover I had never read it before.
Good news though; it's a fantastic novel, so... a win in the end.
