Tay (Read With Tay) (readwithtay) | 82 comments Welcome to week 3! The book is really starting to develop and take shape with Audrey~

deborah (deborahembury) Okay, so the one thing I’m not feeling right now is her and Linus going out and practicing talking to people in Starbucks. Something about that whole scene felt off to me but I’m not sure what?
Also, this is a little thing but I wish there was more Felix lol he’s so adorable to read about!

Melissa ~ Missy (FrayedBooks) (missykitty) | 23 comments When they first go to Starbucks and Linus tells her to just "snap out of it" and tries to take off her dark glasses without her permission, that put a bad taste in my mouth about Linus. I understand they're young and he doesn't understand she can't just "snap out of it" but it made me mad at him and sad for Audrey. He does try and make it better but I'm still upset with him.

I'm glad this stopped being the "Mum yelling at Frank why he can't play video games" show though and is focusing more on Audrey now.

It's nice she was able to see her old best friend Natalie again, even if Natalie didn't understand what was wrong with Audrey and that fact she couldn't see anything physically wrong with her.

Andddd hacking into the parents emails, this certainly cannot end well for Audrey :(

It was a little strange, right? I feel like they could’ve practiced with themselves or something instead of going out and making a huge deal out of it. Kinda pushes the whole ‘I am sick’ trope.

Felix is totally adorable!

I felt the same way about that interaction! It just felt weird and wrong and I was like meh. If he really wanted to help her, he would’ve respected her a little more and not pushed her so much and tried to make the decision for her.

I’m glad it’s focusing more on Audrey too! Was getting a little worried it was going to be more about the mom’s helicopter parenting which is an entirely different issue.

I think the Natalie part speaks to how people sometimes push mental illness under the rug and say things like ‘just get over it’ because you can’t always physically see it. But it’s there and very much real to the person experiencing it.

Yeaaaah seemed very teenager like thing to do for Audrey to hack the emails...
