Clay makes a decision to go for Zoe after they connect with his teammates in the bar and he becomes concerned about her safety. What about the things that occurred during that outing had him change his mind?

I think his jealousy got him moving in the right direction. He was jealous of the attention she got from Schroeder and the other guys in the bar.
Then when she got mixed up in the fight he went into protective mode.

Jealousy for sure, and how she interacted with his Team, not overtly flirting to try and make him jealous, but just having fun with everyone. I think he was forced to do a reevaluation of her and not see her as the same type of woman his ex was.

Yeah, he got real territorial quickly, surprising himself. It’s one thing to state this stuff in your head but in real life situations? Clay couldn’t stand seeing her with anyone else, real or imagined. I thought this was hilarious.
