Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments We now have investigations into investigations. Have investigations become a waste of time and taxpayer money, a distraction from governing? Or do you support the time and money being invested?

Phil | 11837 comments Any particular investigations in mind? Also, did you object to the ENDLESS Benghazi investigations during the prior administration?

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments I wrote that in May about the Mueller investigation, and you know how that turned out. Then came the impeachment. It's all a political game with the aim of removing Trump from office, which won't happen. So, yes, I'd say it's been a waste of time and taxpayer money brought on by the Democrats' need for revenge because Hillary didn't win. They've hampered efforts by a sitting president to govern for the past three years, to the detriment of the country. Their time and effort would much better have been spent on finding, working on, and proposing solutions to our country's problems, don't you think? Wouldn't that have been a more reasonable approach? Regarding Benghazi hearings, yes, I think they were necessary. I watched them in their entirety, and I saw Hillary being the ultimate politician, answering questions with questions, pounding her fists in anger. Christopher Stevens begged for help, which was not forthcoming, and now he's dead. Hillary said at the hearing, "What difference at this point does it make?" in answer to a question about why she didn’t call the survivors of the attack in the hours or days immediately afterward, to ask whether the attack had begun as a spontaneous outburst of violence by Libyans upset about a controversial video or whether it was an orchestrated attack by a militant group." That told me all I needed to know about her willingness to take responsibility for anything that happened. Quite a performance, and she skated, as Clintons do. Can you explain why she isn't supported by her party now as a candidate, this fine woman from whom the election was supposedly stolen three years ago?

Those members of Congress from the Democratic party, the ones you hate so much, have passed nearly 400 bills. Most of those bills had bipartisan support.

Most of those 400 bills are currently sitting on the desk of the leader of the Senate - one Mitch McConnell, who refused to take any of them up in that chamber. If you want to assign blame for nothing getting done, look no further than that one man.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments I never used the word hate, Phil. You were probably picking up on my lack of respect for Hillary, which I won't deny. I actually like Bernie and Biden, although I have reservations about their proposals.
