That is my next Mary Russell book, one of my (many) favorite series.

B. Japan
C. Dreaming Spies
D. Completed June 30, 2019.
Another great Russel and Holmes adventure. The mystery in this one is subtle and thought-provoking with fewer thrills, but I was completely consumed as always.

A. North Africa
B. Egypt
C. The Painted Queen by Elizabeth Peters and Joan Hess
D. Not Completed, moving on to another book.

A. Asia
B. India
C. The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey
D. Completed 7/26/19
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! I was very taken with the setting and cultural introduction to the complex society of 1920's India. And completely charmed by the clever, and somewhat impulsive, Perveen Mistry. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

A. North America
B. USA
C. Free Love by Annette Meyers
D. Completed 8/11/19
In joining this challenge, I hoped to both be introduced to new authors and re-discover ones that I had let slip away-Annette Meyers was one of those authors. I was very taken with Olivia Brown, poet, and amateur detective when I read the books years ago and hoped to find new additions to the series; sadly that is not the case. However, in my search, I came across many negative reviews which raised my curiosity as I had very happy memories of the book. So, this was a re-read for me, and I have to say, I enjoyed it just as much this time around.
The setting is 1920's Greenwich Village and vividly captures the energy, creativity and rebellious nature of that era. This is an easy read that kept my attention without too much overuse of cliffhangers at the end of each chapter and kept me guessing to near the end (even though I had read it before!). So, still craving adventure with a free-spirited woman of the 1920's I think it is time to move on to the Phyrne Fisher series.
A. Region: Europe
B. Country: UK
C. The Murder of Mary Russell by Laurie R. King.
D. Completed 5/26/19
