Hello Constant Readers. It's June! I am in shock. Not only is it June, but it's a few days in and I'm late putting this up. I apologize to those that are on it and waiting patiently, I thank you. I've been sick...for the millionth time this year it seems.

Four Past Midnight is a collection of short stories and like last year I find short story collections fitting for the summer months because some of us are enjoying the time off and don't want to be bogged down with a LONG ASS book.

This collection has 4 novellas-The Langoliers, Secret Window, The Library Policeman and The Sun Dog.

I read the Langoliers back in High School, but I don't think I continued with this particular collection so I'm looking forward to reading the rest.

As for the movie adaptations...

The Langoliers mini series came out in 1995. I found this "movie" to be awesome. Super cheesy special effects, but way worth the watch. The plot of the movie is super scary and I just loved every bit of it. Definitely looking forward to re-reading the novella and re-watching the movie.

Secret Window- came out in 2004, and I actually went and saw this in the theater. I didn't know at first that this story was written by Stephen King. I went specially because Johnny Depp was the main character ;) Yes I can be shallow. I found it wonderfully eerie and I'm looking forward to reading the novella and seeing how it compares to the movie version.

As for the last two novellas there were talks of Sun Dog a while back, but nothing has came from it. These two are not movies.

Hoping to get to this one this month. I might just skip Insomnia and read it in July and focus on finishing Needful Things in the next week and start this one right away. I can't wait.

Good luck to all those playing catch up like me...and to those speedy readers...Good luck with the four novellas. Let me know how you like them in the discussion below :D

I hope you start feeling better! ❤ I've been plagued with migraines this month so I'm right there with ya. I'm starting to feel myself at the start of a reading slump too. Hopefully this brings me back. I used to be obsessed w/ the movie Secret Window when I was younger so I hope I love the story just as much.

Once someone gets to The Library Policeman I NEED to talk to them about it! I still have a ways to go but I haven't been creeped out by a story in such a long time. If I had read it as a kid I know I would have had trouble sleeping. I wish someone would adapt it!

"Look at me....I'm going to touch the butt!!!" XD

Just kidding look at me another book done. It only took me 6 months to finish. I'm like the little engine that could. Chuga Chuga!

I freaking loved all the stories in this book. Of course Langoliers is my favorite, but I have to admit the new stories that I hadn't read before Library Policeman and Sundog was pretty cool too.

That is definitely my favorite. I thought the Library Policeman was super creepy.
