How did everyone feel about the way we were introduced to Kanan being force sensitive and being a former Jedi? Yes we all know that he is from the trailers for rebels but did you think it was done in an obvious way or in a clever way?

Roc (roc1138) | 10 comments I liked it. Especially liked his reaction to using it and the way he feels about the force.
When that scene was unfolding I was waiting for it but I was also waiting for it earlier when he first ran into Count Vidian. I didn't feel it was obvious though, it was the right time and didn't have much choice.

message 3: by Travis (new)

Travis I think his Force powers introduction was done very well. It really highlights how intertwined Force users, specifically Jedi, are with the Force; it's just second nature to them. It's like countless other fantasy stories where the hero unwittingly uses his/her powers until discovering the truth.

Kanan's relationship with the Force reminds me of The Incredibles, which is a good thing and no knock on Mr. Miller. Kanan says the Force can't be switched off, so in order to "avoid detection" he has to avoid "excelling too much, or for too long." That's just like the little boy on the track team in The Incredibles.
