Snuff films have been around for a long time. Why do you think there’s such interest in them? Are most simulated like Trask tried to assert or are most real?

I remember reading somewhere that the majority of snuff films are faked, and in fact, the police have never actually proven that any snuff film has been authentic.

As to why people watch them, perversion, morbid fascination with death, sick and twisted minds... the extent of human depravity never ceases to amaze and sicken me.

Sick people for sure.

I would hope that most are simulated, but who knows. I guess there are just sick people that fantasy about doing things themselves, but don't have the guts, so they enjoy the snuff films.

I’ve read the same thing, Lauren, about law enforcement’s views on these films. Real ones are rare.

It really bothers me that there’s an audience for these films. Makes me wonder what those viewers are up to.

I really hope that they are fake. But I can't understand why anyone would want to watch them. That is really sick.
