Theresa (theresa99) Has anyone read Pike's latest series Witch World? Are they any good?

Orissa Loftin (orissaloftin) | 2 comments I've only read the first one (witch world) and I liked it. As always, with him, I get kinda confused with all the different dimensions but I really liked the story.

Theresa (theresa99) Thanks for answering Orissa. I know Pike can be confusing at times so I was curious if it was worth reading. Honestly, other than some of the Thirst novels I hadn't been as impressed with the newer works (Hallow Skull, the Grave ect.)

Julie_ian_curtis | 8 comments i read the first one and i didnt like it. it started off ok then it was like....zzzzz

Thanks Julie. I read the excepts in the back of the Thirst books and wasn't very impressed. The newer Thirst books were decent, but I was not happy with the way the last one ended. I was like where have I read this before...oh right, Creatures of Forever. I guess Pike forgot many of the Thirst readers were carryovers from "The Last Vampire."

I have read the first Witch World book and thought it was okay. It was the first Pike I had read in quite some time and felt his writing was about the same as it had been since reading his works as a young adult. I'd like to re-read it before reading the second book. I feel like, with the second book, questions will be answered. I'm hoping anyway.

Thanks for your opinion Liz. I hope your questions will be answered with the second book, at least some of them. I have a lot of books still to read and I might sit these ones out right now.

Carrie (brightbeautifulthings) (brightbeautifulthings) I liked Witch World fine, but I wasn't overwhelmed by it. Oddly, I ended up liking Black Knight a lot more though, so I'm hoping he continues the series!
