Please check out my recently published historical novel set in medieval Muslim Spain, a world long ago with striking parallels to today and the fluctuating tension and exchange between contemporary Islam and the West.

The protagonist is a young Muslim queen of Iranian ancestry who must defend her tiny kingdom from both Christian and Islamic adversaries. Most Westerners have little knowledge of the medieval Muslim past, when Islamic civilization dwarfed the West in medicine, secular science and philosophy, diversity, innovation, and material wealth.
