Frank seemed to have some questions about Willy’s story after his visit to the Children’s Society where they didn’t have a record of him or Freddie ever being on the Orphan Train. Did he do enough to protect Freddie? Did he bear any responsibility for Freddie’s demise, even if he thought he did?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Frank wasn't responsible for Freddie's death. He called Willy on his story and told him that he had talked to Freddie. I think it was only a matter of time before Willy found where Freddie was hiding.

Freddie was pretty easy to find, all things considered. Frank held back the information and I don’t believe he helped him in any way. But, I liked that Frank took on the responsibility of making certain he was taken care of. I’m not sure he could have done anything to protect him before meeting with Black Jack.

~ Giulia ~ | 193 comments I agree, Frank didn't give anything away that couldn't be easily found out by anyone asking a few questions around and, considering the information he had at the time, I'm not sure there's anything he could've done to prevent his death. At the same time I see how he feels like he should have been able to do more to protect Freddie since the first time he managed to find him still alive.
