What book made you cry your eyes out?

message 2: by Victoria (last edited Sep 30, 2014 07:54PM) (new)

Victoria S | 18 comments I remember crying A LOT with Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I also tear up a little bit with the deaths in Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins and maybe because it was the ending of one of my favourite series.
Unexpected crying: Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson & The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
(one of my favourite books, those tears were tears of joy because it's a beautiful book)

and finally my favourite book of all times The Book Thief by Markus Zusak I didn't cry a lot, but I remember crying in happy moments of the story, and the ending was heartbreaking. It was so beautifully written that brought tears yo my eyes many times. Amazing book♥

message 43: by George (last edited Nov 04, 2014 01:24AM) (new)

George Lightgood | 21 comments How about a genre? A diarrhea splatter of ink and deceit, penned by some ghostwriter in the name of another corrupt politician, in order to sway the masses into voting for them.

Those books, comprised of Bernays-ian propaganda and self-serving lies, make me want to weep in despair and bring me to the abyss of condoning book burning.

Thankfully, my belief in true freedom of speech would never allow me to buy into such suppression of information. No matter how uncomfortable or distasteful I might find it.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) 1. The Book Thief.
2. The Fault In Our Stars.
3. Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover. This book will make you ugly cry but is SO good!
