SA Book & Challenge Lovers discussion

Every month we nominate an Author (2 if you can't decide) we would like to read the next month. We then vote on a poll and the winning Author becomes our Author of the month!

You can then read any book by this Author and share your experience in a thread with others.

Nominations will last till the 10th of Oct.

To be a discussion Host you are agreeing to:
- read the book you nominated at the beginning of the month, if you haven't already read it.
- start the discussion in both the spoiler and spoiler-free threads by posting your thoughts and a few simple questions for readers to think/talk about
- inform the group if you're unable to host the discussion or will only be reading the book later in the month.

You may also offer to be the Host for someone else's nomination.

Authors and publishers may NOT nominate their own books for monthly discussions. Similarly, no one is permitted to rig the polls by inviting others or creating sockpuppets to join the group and vote for a book/author. Such votes will be disregarded and the book/author in question may be removed from the poll entirely.

Please tell us why you are nominating a certain book/author or why you want to read the book/author.

Helen Fielding - Want to read Mad About the Boy to finish the series, but also because it counts for Deserted Island challenge :)

P.C. Cast - As I just finished book 4 in the House of Night series, I am addicted! And I want others to experience this maddening and addictive series, so we can discuss it!

Can we nominate the same authors or rather wait for the voting to vote on an author already nominated?

You can nominate authors who were nominated in previous months but didn't win. There's no point putting in a second nomination for an author who's currently in the running. Often, members will say if they're particularly interested in one of the nominees, but a second nomination won't change anything as one nomination is enough to put the author on the poll.

I'm going to give this another couple of hours. Please get the nominations in!
