Wake up in the middle of the night and have to read for a couple hours. Always have a book in my purse.

Start thinking about characters during the day as though they are real people!

Amen, @Sarah! I was obsessed by the characters in Water for Elephants for WEEKS after I finished!

Wondering what they are doing right now: Lucas Davenport, Stephanie Plum, and especially Jack Ryan.

We all seem to think the characters are real, don't we!

I am reading a Stephanie Plum book every month and I agree, she has become lika a crazy little sister, and I love grandma and of course Rex.

I know I'm obsessed when I start pretending I'm a movie director and begin casting for the film version.

This is why I like the In Death series by J.D. Robb. When I read her books, it's like a reunion and I'm checking back in with old friends.

Wanting Eric Northman to walk off the pages of the Sookie Stackhouse books and come to my house so we could have "a meaningful conversation"! LOL

More books in the house than food!!!

Forgetting to make supper for hubby because I'm so involved in reading. Also, staying up to 2 or 3 in the morning cause I can't put the book down.

I'm loving these comments as they make me feel so much less guilty!

I feel lost after finishing a particularly good book. Walking around the house like a zombie and staring at books but not seeming to find interest in any for a couple of days. :S

Yeah, I was like that after Water for Elephants. I kept on thinking about the main characters and wanting to know more... It's like having to go home after a vacation.

I get all my books through iTunes and have them loaded on my cell and my iPad. Usually I carry my cell with no matter where I go even in the house because of the safety feature on it to call for help. I find myself reading in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and well just about anywhere.

That I have multiple started and in all the mediums...hard copies, eBooks, CDs and MP3s. I love having MP3s with me for waiting rooms, long lines and walking but I tend to shut everyone out when they think I'm listening to them.

Oooh no, I have done a couple on that last...walk & read, blow off family or friends & picked up my daughter late b/c I was distracted. I guess it's time for a recovery group....I'll go read up on it.

When I finally look at the clock and realize I should have had lunch an hour ago and then I realize I don't remember ever having breakfast. Good book did that to me recently.
