After a little hiatus I thought I'd dip my toe in the water and see what bites. This may be a particularly good time of year to discuss/promote stuff, as we're just ahead of buying presents for Christmas and receiving money/book tokens from Christmas.

Rules are as follows:

1. Books must be available in ebook format or author willing to provide a digital copy to anyone who wants to participate.

2. Books must be available through at least one major retailer (Amazon, B&N, or Smashwords) or author is willing to provide a copy to anyone who wants to participate.

3. Self nominations are welcome, provided you have at least 10 non self promotion posts in the club.

4. All books must receive a second to be included in the poll.

5. All books must be from a small press or independently published.

I'll run on the poll on something like the 28th.

[For those wondering about the Other Book of the Month, I want to see how this goes. It's possible I'll run both together or alternate].

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1013 comments I'm going to be cheeky and mention Wyrd Worlds II which is a sci- fi and fantasy anthology. It should be free on Amazon, and is on Smashwords.

Thanks for the nominations.

So far, that's:
The Goblin Trilogy
Wyrd Worlds II

A reminder that the more the merrier, so if anyone else has suggestions there's still time to make them.

Ross Friedman | 5 comments I would like to nominate my story. I would love to see discussion interpreting behaviors of the characters. Especially how in life, or in this case the afterlife...the bad guy justifies their conduct.

Hey, Ross.

£8* for an e-book is pretty steep. I want to get the poll up and running, so I'm just going to include the other two nominations for this month. Would a free or cheaper (with a Smashwords code, for example) version be available for a future Book of the Month? Let me know on this thread. Also, the book club rules (in the thread-starter) are that self-nominations have to come from someone with at least 10 non self-promotion posts here.

*The Goblin Trilogy is almost as much, but it's also, according to Amazon, about three times longer.

Voting ends on 31 October, so get cracking.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1013 comments Thanks Thaddeus, Wyrd Worlds is now hopefully free on Amazon, if not it should be free on SW.

Right, well that was a clear victory for Wyrd Worlds. I'll put up the thread presently.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1013 comments Yay! I'll be reading it to, as I haven't read all the stories.
