I'm reading too much, to be honest...

Yeaaaa.... I agree! I'm just on the tricky verge of loosing my mind!
I'm running 20 days behind my review schedule (and the authors are being so supportive and understanding that it's making me more guilty!) I haven't even touched a single book from the 75 titles I got approved for on Netgalley! I'm feeling so lost... :(
After all this also I bought 6 new books when I went out yesterday! Now I can't stop myself from starting those new books... Life as a reviewer is really really tuff!

I've just started reading Joyland and a manga series Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Vol. 01

Well as always I read several books at the same time...well not at the same time but but you know what I mean...:P



Some of the books have I started but has been neglected for some time but as soon as possible will I continue with them...:P

I do exactly the same thing. I've had books on my 'currently reading' list for months because (unless the book is truly phenomenally excellent) I get distracted easily. I see what other people have liked and decide to start reading that, I visit the library because I love libraries and come back with ten books at a time because, hey, free books!
Right now I am reading:
The Fictional Woman by Tara Moss
Pearseus #2 by Nicholas C. Rossis
The Step-mothers' Support Group by Sam Baker
Fair Game (Alpha and Omega #3) by Patricia Briggs

Plus heaps others waiting to be read, but these are the books in the forefront of my mind right now :)

Yesterday I read Blood Games by Chloe Neill and now I'm reading Winter King by CL Wilson and right after that it's Night's End by Yasmine Galenorn.

Then on hold at the library is the next feral warrior book by Pamela Palmer, much different from her Vamp City books. Also waiting on Undead and Unwary by MaryJanice Davidson, The Bane Chronicles & Iron Trial by Cassandra Clare and Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss.

I'm also bad about using my currently reading page to remember books I want to pick up from the library...eventually, and if those other 20 hadn't been shinier, or worse, the digital library just keeps loaning me things I want to read.

I'm currently rereading Shiver as an audiobook. I'm also reading The Night Circus, which has been recommended to me about a billion times.

I'm reading 'Salem's Lot. In this time, beginning with "The Dark Tower" series, I'm reading almost exclusively Stephen King.

First Night of Summer


This is one of those pulse-pounding thrillers where you know something is going on, and the writer gives you plenty of clues, but there are still some twists and turns he keeps hidden away until just the right moment. What an emotional roller-coaster! Not for the faint of heart as the subject matter of child abduction is very real and tragic. This is definitely one of my favs this year.

I just started Marie Lu's new book The Young Elites last night. I'm only a few chapters in and I'm already loving it. Her world building, even only a few chapters in, is incredible.

I'm reading three at the moment:


And I've got a system for reading multiple books as "one time": audiobook on the way to work and home, a kindle book on my phone while at work (usually reading at lunch), and a third book on my tablet at home.

Yesterday I finished Song of Susannah and today I started And Another Thing.... I should end both these two series in the next weeks.

Great to know that Steve, I read in the same fashion. One book on Kindle, one in print and one on my notebook. I love multi-reading this way :)

I just started reading The Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck today and so far it's REALLY good!

I just finished The Young Elites yesterday and started Scott Westerfeld's new book Afterworlds. Only read two chapters so far and it's pretty cool.

Yesterday I started Pet Sematary, as book of the month. This is the year of King for me. I've never read so many of his books!

Started Pet Sematary today. It's really good! I haven't read that many King books this year...but I own a lot of unread ones...;)

Yes, it's great! In the last year I read many books for some Groups and almost the entire "The Dark Tower" Series. I have to recover the few books of the previous years .

The one issue that always comes up is that one of the books I'm reading takes over as the "favorite", and I end up devoting most of my time to that one anyway.

Same here Andrew, the only difference being that I'm reading his books for the first time. I've started to love his writing and I'm sure as hell, gonna read more King books next year aswell :)

I finished Paper Towns and I'm not sure what to think about it, if any of you read it, can you tell me what were your thoughts, please? x

Reading The Book of Werewolves at the moment. Halfway through. The author spends the first half of the book giving one example of lycanthropy from folklore and myth after the other. He's switching gears now to an examination of lycanthropy as a disease or brain malady. This is a treasure trove of interesting anecdotes from folklore. I'm definitely getting inspired to write something. Thinking steampunk, with devotees of science committing genocide against practitioners of magic, etc. First image is a man climbing out of a well under a full moon, wearing a goatskin while an evil spirit entreats him to rise and make mayhem with that which he's been given. Much wolfiness ensues.

I'm finishing up the Audible version of Before They Are Hanged and about a quarter of the way into Stephen King's new one, Revival.

Up next is Last Argument of Kings (Audible), and joining the RMFAO group-read of Dune. :)

I've started a couple of days ago The Wind Through the Keyhole, so with this I'll close 'The Dark Tower' series. Unless Stephen King write another book next year.
