LOL. I've certainly never heard of that kind of arrangement before. It is crazy.

I’ve read how actors and actresses in this era had dubious reputations but this was beyond the pale for me. Both Baxter and Eliza being complicit in this madness was just nuts. At the center of it all was a fading glory actress who shouldn’t have been indulged.
