Jenni (jennilando) | 4 comments It was about 2004. I listened to the audiobook. The most memorable part, honestly, is that the back had a review from an author who likened it to The Chronicles of Amber and I've since read that and loved it.

A young boy wakes up completely confused without memories. He is maybe at a school or institution. I recall the big reveal/spoiler....

They were actually hooked up in tanks and it was all like VR. Everyone wakes up and they have to fight their way out or something.
