Amy | 237 comments ohhhhh!!! This really helps. I've never read Frankenstein but I thought I knew the story and after reading that I really didn't. Now I think I know where this book is going.

Angie (pinkindle) | 828 comments I've never read the original, but I'm enjoying this one so far. It's weird because I feel like nothing has really happened, but I'm super interested to see what's going to happen.

Melanie | 1911 comments The end of the part I left me with so many questions. It is definitely an engaging text, even if the MC is a bit obsessed with her man. I know its historically accurate, but I just hate how all of her decisions are based on how a man will perceive them.

Diane | 1234 comments I just finished part one. Elizabeth is definitely an interesting character. You expect Victor to be odd but Elizabeth takes me by surprise for some reason. She is very sweetly manipulative the way she can control people. Her whole existence is based on how she can manipulate others. I understand he need for survival is strong but there is no real empathy there at all. She seems a good fit for Victor in a sinister way. The way she covers for him and enables his in his actions reminds me of the couples that engage in sociopaths behavior together. You wonder how they could stay in and participate in a relationship like that. It is that they are really just as twisted only they seem the victim.

Melanie | 1911 comments I agree with everything you say Diane. You phrased it quite eloquently too. She comes off as an unlikeable narrator, which I think just adds to the darkness and horror of the story.

Diane | 1234 comments Yeah I just don’t trust her but really every person we have met so far is wacky in one way or another. Definitely psychology dark.
