Once I hit middle-age, I found that I just can't climb like I used to. I'm
huffing and puffing my way to the top of Everest in 2019, but I'm determined to keep a goal of 100 books again. I still hope to plant that flag on the top of Olympus one day....

If you'd like to join me on the trek up Mount Everest, just open a new topic and name your climb. See you in 2020!

message 16: by Leslie (new)

Leslie I love Heyer! Though that one isn't one of my favorites, I must have read it at least once each decade since the 1970s *grin*

Yeah--it isn't her best Regency, although I did appreciate her efforts to bring the mystery genre in as well.

Leslie Have you read "The Talisman Ring"? That one also combines mystery with the romance - it's great imo!

Not particularly. It didn't really live up to my expectations. The title link above will take you to my review.

Yeah, I have noticed that too - I think it is the subliminal anxiety that is constantly present these days.
