Darci Day | 176 comments This is the second book in the Dresden Files series, and I liked it a lot better than the first one. I'm definitely going to continue this series. I enjoy the humor, the supernatural elements are well done, and the plot on this one had some interesting twists and turns.

I could definitely do without the rampant chauvinism, but I've heard the series gets better as it goes along, so here's hoping.

annapi | 5504 comments It gets better too! The writing and character development improve a lot past book 4, IMO. My favorite so far has been #6 - one of the greatest opening scenes ever!

Hebah (quietdissident) | 675 comments I was pretty meh on the Dresden Files in the first book, but I devoured Fool Moon in one evening and was hooked from then. They do get better as they go, but they're still pretty dude-ish books. They're fun for what they are, but I'm honestly worried Butcher has gotten bored with them and may not finish the series out.
