Hi Folks
I just signed up for the group (and your first 2 mini-challenges starting in the new year ).
I like reading lots of different types of books, depending on my mood at the time . This group looks like it covers all the bases so it should be a good fit !
I like reading nonfiction mainly, but would like to read more classics in the coming year .
I've just come out of a MAJOR reading slump, so I'm hoping this group will help to yank me out of it .

I just joined GoodReads and I love dystopia series like Maze Runner, Divergent, Hunger Games, etc. I love the Fantasy genre. I just read the first book in the Faery Rebels series (Knife) and it was really good. I would like to try out reading some new kinds of interesting books so I hope I can find so here! Thanks :)
Hello, Newbies! So glad to have you here! We're reading Adventure stories in December. The new threads are posted for ideas and planning.
Unpinky-
The Fantasy series you mentioned would definitely fit the Adventure category. There are often crossover genres like fantasy/adventure.
Julie-
We've got a monthly Non Fiction Group Challenge planned for 2015. That sounds right up your alley. :)
New Members, New Plans, 2015 is gonna be GREAT!

I feel I should make myself known among this group now, or forever be tarnished with the reputation of a plebeian dweller.
Just seems I'm more then happy to sit back and read, both reviews and debates, which ironically, I guess is what brings me here.
I have always been a fan of reading, but it has only been since May, when I purchased a Kindle, that I realized how little reading I had done, for somebody who would describe themselves as an 'avid reader'.
So, I find myself here on goodreads, to challenge myself to read more, gain knowledge and just fully embrace the love of literacy that seems in in abundance online here.
So hi,
Check out what I've read and send us a message if I seem interesting.

I'm Salma from the Netherlands. I just joined this group yesterday, because I wanted to read more diversely and experience some group reads. I read mostly YA, contemporary, fantasy and science-fiction, but I'm also getting into Dutch and English literature. Looking forward to be active in this group!

Welcome to the group Salma! We look forward to hearing more about you.
Welcome to the group B. and Salma!

I'm from IL currently living in FL where so amazing books take place including the Mara Dyer trilogy (amazing, if you haven't read it yet check out!). Some of my other favorites include authors auch as Cassie Clare, James Patterson, and Libba Bray. So excited to get to know you guys and your book taste :)

I decided to set myself a diversity challenge for 2015 when I realized that I'd spent most of my life reading stories written by and about straight white able-bodied English speaking men. I love these stories, and have spent many many hours of my life immersed in these books (and that's just this past week!), I am really ready to see what stories the rest of the world had to tell! So I discovered this group while I was planning, and hope for mutual inspiration. :)
Welcome, Shelley! We are certainly a diverse group, so you'll find lots of great recommendations here. :)

My name is Katerina but feel free to call me Kat! I have spent the better part of my life not knowing the joy of reading and I'm in the process of making up for lost time! I don't have a particular genre that I prefer over others and I'm pretty open minded.
I've joined this group to help push my boundaries for 2015. I'm looking to read 70 books next year which is extremely ambitious of me but I am looking forward to completing it.
Also looking forward to reading about other peoples challenges and progress!
Welcome, Kat! Good luck with your goal! We'll certainly do all we can to help you along the way. :)

My name is Tatjana (Tats) from Germany, currently living in India. I found a great 2015 Reading Challenge List on Pinterest and on my search for a group to share it with I found my way here (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...). Very excited :D
My favourites are the classics (Shakespeare, Austen, Wilde etc.), historical fiction, food books but always love to diversify before I get bored ;)
Looking forward to great discussions as well as inspirations when not sure what the next read will be :D

I'm Alison and I live in not so sunny Scotland.
I love books and will read pretty much anything as long as it's well written and has a good story. I couldn't really pick a favourite book as it probably changes hourly depending on my mood.
I only joined Good Reads a couple of weeks ago but finding it useful for keeping track of my books. I'm hoping it will also help me find some new authors to try and I'm keen to participate in some challenges.

I've never joined a group before, but this seemed like a good place to start.
A little about me...
- I'm a highschooler in California. I run our school's book club and am a part of our literary magazine.
- My favorite genres are fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, horror, and YA fantasy.
- I'm attempting to complete and self publish a little novel :)
I look forward to reading with you all!

My name is Erica and I absolutely love to read (obvious if I'm on the website, but oh well). Please feel free to add me as friends and start a convo!
